An Uber Experience Now Available For All

Did you know that 50% of us are unsatisfied with our Taxi experiences (ABC)? Is it that we are becoming fussier, or is customer service disappearing from this industry? Like most of you, I’m massive on customer experience and can’t remember the last time I had a taxi experience worth raving about. I find myself clinging to the seat when going around corners, bracing myself when approaching lights and struggling to hurl my huge suitcase in and out of the boot, not to forget making sure I have Google Maps ready to go so I can navigate.

Is Uber the answer to these niggling issues? Perhaps! The San Francisco born app has gained a lot of momentum lately, especially now that it is available across all of the smartphone platforms (iOS, Andriod, Blackberry and Windows) and is making its way across Australia. Uber connects you with luxury cabs that will pick you up within minutes of booking – so be ready. You can expect to be greeted by a chivalrous driver in a chic black Caprice, where you’ll embark on an Uber cab experience.  The back seat features TV screens and the latest mags for entertainment and chilled water for hydration, sink into the leather seats and enjoy the ride. When you arrive at your destination, there’s no need to fumble with cash, your Uber account is linked directly to your credit card and you’ll be automatically charged – easy!  You can expect to pay around 15% more for the Uber experience; however it seems well worth it, especially considering most cab companies charge this as a booking fee anyway. It seems like Uber is bringing back customer experience and taking the stress out of city transportation. This app is defiantly going to get a workout from me.

Is Uber a service that you’d be tempted to give a go?
